Privacy notice
How Cleaning Direct uses your information.

Who controls your information
Cleaning Direct is the controller for information collected through this website. Contact support@cleaning.direct or use the contact form with a privacy question or request.
What we collect and why
- Saved estimates and enquiries: your name if supplied, email, phone if supplied, postcode, message and quote choices so we can respond to your request. This is processed with your consent and to take steps you request before a possible booking.
- Accounts and booking requests: account identity, contact and address details, service choices, date, price, notes and status so we can administer your request and, if confirmed, provide the service.
- Cleaner applications: contact details, postcode, experience, availability, services, right-to-work and insurance confirmations, your message, and any recruitment source label carried in the link you opened. We use this to assess and respond to the application and understand which recruitment routes lead to completed applications.
- Security records: limited technical and event information used to prevent abuse, diagnose faults and maintain a record of important activity.
A recruitment source label is recorded only when an application is submitted. It does not add advertising cookies, capture the referring page or fingerprint the device.
Who receives it
We use contracted providers for secure sign-in, website hosting, operational records and, when enabled, payment processing. We share only what is needed with those providers and, when a booking is fulfilled, relevant staff or cleaners. Cleaning Direct does not store full card details.
How long we keep it
We keep information only while it is needed for the enquiry, application, account or booking, and for a limited period afterwards where required for security, disputes, accounting or legal obligations. Test submissions are removed after validation. You may ask us to delete information that we no longer need.
International processing
Some contracted providers may process information outside the UK. Where data-protection law requires it, we use an approved transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can withdraw consent for future contact at any time. We do not currently make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely through automation.
Contact us first so we can address a concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and local storage
We use only essential browser storage needed for account sessions and to preserve an unfinished booking draft. Advertising analytics are not enabled. Recruitment source labels are read from the application-page link at submission and do not require a cookie. See the cookie notice.
